Research

Research in the Forest Ecology Lab focuses on understanding species distribution patterns. We are particularly interested in plant species’ migration patterns, population dynamics and with the factors, both abiotic and biotic, that allow species to successfully inhabit and colonize an area. We investigate these patterns and factors using a broad spectrum of approaches and over multiple spatial and temporal scales. Here are a few of the projects ongoing and completed in the lab.  Please contact Mark Lesser for more information, or with any questions you have, about any of these projects!
